- Organization-wide commitment.
- Organizations encourage student leadership in assessing needs, developing plans, and implementing projects.
- Organization facilitates interactions between their constituents and students in identifying, defining, and evaluating needs.
- Organization supports developmentally appropriate learning and service goals for students.
- Organization possesses an infrastructure for student community-based education.
- Organization promotes student reflection.
